First meeting of 2017 moved to the 9th to accommodate Football Users Group.
Each year All Saints Episcopal Church (one of our former meeting sites) conducts a Home Gardens tour as a major fund raiser. The poster for the event is selected via a judged competition for painters and photographers. At least two of our photographers have won the honor but t is difficult to compete with the painters in this event. The attached document outlines the process for entering. The “acceptance” process for entries is “the faster the better” as all entries up to the first 70 submissions are accepted. So, if you are interested in competing, and being in the judged show of the 70 entries, I suggest a post haste approach.
Flowers, birds, bees, butterflies, frogs, fountains, floral landscapes and abstracts are acceptable subjects for entries. Works in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, mixed media, photography and colored pencil are acceptable.
Even though we do not meet for regular meetings over the Summer there ae still several things to do.
1- Starting June 14, we will be doing Tuesday Night at the Movies, featuring Photographers and Artists. Free to everyone so bring a friend to introduce him/her to the Camera Club. We will do this for 6 weeks (except July 5th). Check the Events calendar for info.
2- Lightroom Users Group will still meet in July and August. July 12th and August 1st are the next two meetings. All things LR discussed, especially any update that come along.
